peacemaker set to join Misfits as coach

1
Just days after signing their French duo, Misfits has announced that Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu will be the team's new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach. The Brazilian coach will now prepare the team for DreamHack Tours.
Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu has coached several teams in his career. Starting out as a coach for Tempo Storm, later known as Immortals, Tadeu then moved on to coach Team Liquid for roughly six months. This included the team's run to the 2016 ESL One Cologne grand finals.

Following his time in Team Liquid, Tadeu became the general manager of NRG's CS:GO division, as well as the team's coach. Just one week after the announcement, however, Tadeu departed the organization, claiming he had “different visions for the future” compared to the team and organization. In February, Tadeu was brought on as a temporary coach for OpTic Gaming. The team failed to impress with Tadeu behind the players, as the team placed poorly at both DreamHack Masters Las Vegas and IEM Katowice. This eventually led to the coach having to leave his position.

"People that know me as a coach know that my motto is having a hard work environment and something that really drives me its new challenges. When I first joined Immortals, everybody doubted our potential, same happened with Team Liquid and might happen once again with Misfits, but as long as I have enough time and stability to work I know what I’m capable of doing.

I am really pumped to start coaching once again. Ben Spoont (CEO) together with all the management and players did their very best to make it happen and I’m really thankful on having this opportunity. I am confident that right now we have all the pieces needed to become a top team and for the first time in my coaching career I will have an actual IGL to share ideas and build a system with", Tadeu said via Misfit's website.

Now it’s official that Misfits will be the new home for the Brazilian coach, on a permanent basis. The news comes just days after the team confirmed the signing of the french duo David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic and François "AmaNEk" Delaunay.

Tadeu will be joining the team at its training facility in order to prepare for DreamHack Tours, which will take place the 6-8th of May. The organization also announced that the team will be bootcamping in Europe prior to the tournament.

With numbers gaining ground on evaluating Counter-Strike players, many have become more and more wary of trusting them. Fans and analysts vocally prefer what is commonly referred to as the eye test – simply watching the game. Sounds fair, because intuitively it makes sense that watching a game will give you more information to go by than a set of numbers supposed to wrap up everything that took place on the server. But what if it's not so simple?
