Liquid with Twistzz defeat NiP 2-1

1
Liquid has won 2-1 over NiP (16-10 Nuke, 7-16 Inferno, 16-3 Cobblestone) at cs_summit.
In the last game of Day 1 of cs_summit cast by Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson and Alex "Machine" Richardson, who were joined on the sofas by SK's Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Epitacio "TACO" de Melo, Liquid took up NiP in a best-of-three that started out on NiP's pick, Nuke. The first map took a quick turn as Liquid snatched the first four rounds on the Terrorist side. Finally, NiP entered the scoreline with a force buy and a triple kill carried out by Adam "friberg" Friberg with a Five-Seven on the A site by vents.

With William "draken" Sundin on the AWP, the Swedes enjoyed a moment of supremacy. However, it was short-lived. The score was tied at 5-5 when coach Wilton "zews" Prado figured out Sundin's static positioning and Liquid executed an A site push, leaving him and his precious weapon of choice out of proximity with smokes in A main.

The Ninjas turned it upside down in the following round with Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund killing three on CT ramps - thus destroyed Liquid's economy, leaving them without any choice than ecoing before the last round of the half. Liquid took the last round of the half to close it 7-8 in NiP's favor before switching to CTs.

NiP got on to B site, and as they planted the bomb, Russel '"Twistzz" Van Dulken and Jonathan "EliGE"Jablonowski rushed down from ramps and were given the burden of the round as their teammates died. Van Dulken however, pulled of a triple kill with a USP-S, the last headshot being onto a mid-air Alesund. The rest of the second half was much duller than the first, because the Swedes struggled hard on the T side, scraping together only two rounds before Liquid reached their sixteenth.

The teams moved on to Inferno, and just as Liquid won their opponent's map pick, so did NiP. The Ninjas seemed to counter Liquid in all of their executions, finishing the first half as CTs 12-3. Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's men took the second pistol as CTs for a chance to come back, but GeT_RiGhT and Richard "Xizt" Landström entered the B site with style with their force buy, almost as if GTR took his revenge out from Nuke, but this time, on EliGE.

NiP then went on to finish Inferno 16-7.

On the decider, Cobblestone, Liquid achieved the same feat NiP did on Inferno, winning the first half on the CT side 12-3. In the second pistol round, NiP lost the A site on the defense, and the round of utmost importance came down to a 2v2 between Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg and his in-game leader, Xizt, against EliGE and Nick "nitr0" Cannella.

Lindberg managed to take Jablonowski down, and tried to work with Xizt to take down Cannella. However, the 21 years old American juked around the site to take both out in 1v1 duels, leaving the Swedes in a very unfavorable situation. So unfavorable, the Swedes could not find a way back and lost in a humiliating 16:3 Cobblestone.

While EliGE had a big hand in Liquid's victory on Nuke and finished on an exceptional score of 76-47, the team's newest member, Twistzz, finished on a higher note with a score of 81-53 and a 69% HS rate.

Sverige NiP vs. Usa Liquid
NiP: f0rest, Xizt, GeT_RiGhT, friberg, draken

Following a catastrophic debut at DreamHack Masters Malmo, where FaZe fell short against NiP and Gambit en route to a group stage elimination, NiKo’s team delivered a masterpiece of a performance at ESL One New York. In perhaps the most dominant tier-one tournament victory of all-time in Counter-Strike, FaZe finished the event with 7-0 map record, allowing only a Liquid comeback from a 4-11 deficit to win over seven rounds against them, and averaging a ridiculous 16-6 score in their championship run. Could FaZe already be the best team around?
