Which country has the best amateur scene? This will soon be decided

1
The time has come to crown the best amateur Counter-Strike scene within Finland, Denmark, and Sweden in the biggest amateur tournament of the North, Philips OneBlade Cup.
With the purpose of developing and encouraging the grassroots players for the future of esports, Philips, together with Fragbite, have founded the Philips OneBlade Cup.

Featuring players from Finland, Denmark, and Sweden, the team with the best amateur scene is yet to be decided. Beyond the possibility to brag about the best scene, the winners will also receive prize money depending on their placings.

Prize distribution for Philips OneBlade Cup

1: SEK 32,000 (~ € 2,625)
2: SEK 18,000 (~ € 1,880)
3-4: SEK 12,000 (~ € 1,260)
5-8: SEK 6,500 (~ € 683)

The OneBlade Cup structure will contain five qualifying weeks, and a qualifier final. Each qualifying week will have a live broadcasted qualifier final where a winner will secure its place in the finals, one step closer to the best amateur team in their country. The last qualifier week will be a bit different than the others, more information on this will be posted closer to that week.

Well known profiles to represent their respective nation

We have brought in three well known Counter-Strike profiles, one from each participating country, to give the tournament some extra flare. More information on these profiles and their contribution to the tournament will be released later on.

The first qualifier, open to Swedish players only, is set to take place between October 2-3 and is followed by another Swedish qualifier October 4-5. A few days later, namely October 9, the Qualifier Finals for Sweden will kickoff and at the end of the day, we'll know which team will be first securing a spot in the grand final.

Starting October 9 we're opening up the doors for all Finnish lions out there to compete in the first of two qualifiers reserved for the land of the Finns.
