glace about joining North Academy: "North actually contacted us"

1
Nicolai "glace" Jensen just found a new home in North, as North Academy, and they're already showing what they’re going for. They knocked out Team LDLC yesterday, and today they’re facing Dreamchasers at Copenhagen Games.
Right after North Academy managed to knock Team LDLC out of the main tournament at Copenhagen Games, we sat down with Nicolai "glace" Jensen for a chat about his new home in North.
How does it feels like to beat a team like LDLC?
— It feels amazing, like I was at the ESEA Global Challenge three months ago where I beat them in the final so beating them back to back is kind of amazing. Also with the new team.

You just announced that you’re North Academy, what’s the goal with the Academy team?
— Our primary goal is to show the world what we can do as a team and as individuals, to promote ourselves with a financial background with a professional team behind us that supports us. This event, we didn’t really had any expectations going to, because we just practised 14 days. North had the same point of view, just go in, have some fun and no pressure.

How did you come in contact with North?
— North actually contacted us, they contacted LOMME and asked if he was interested in making a team then it just went from there.

How does it feels like to have a legend like Alexander "ave" Holdt as a coach?
— It feels amazing, we actually haven’t implemented him yet in our team because he actually have another job that he needs to stop first before he can go full time with us. So from the first of may we’ll have the honor to work with him.

This is the 12th team since august 2014 that you’re representing, how come it’s been so many?
— I don’t think it’s necensarelly twelve different teams, maybe like including some small roster changes. I was in Rogue for nearly eight months I think, standing with Maniac from LDLC, HS from PENTA, cadiaN and tenzki. We had some trouble during the time that we decided to change some players, but it’s been turbulent, I don’t know. Up until now I’ve been kind of back and forth to find my place, but I feel like this is gonna be a really good team for me.

How do you look at the future, are you looking to be the main team?
— I don’t think we can compete with the main team any time soon, we might beat LDLC, but like North is way better skill wise. So right now we’ll remain North Academy and we’ll see in the future if anything’s gonna change.

You’re playing Dreamchasers tomorrow, how does it feel to compete against the majority of Godsent and Joel "emilio" Mako that was vac banned?
— Yeah, regarding the emilio-case I don’t wanna talk about it but for the rest of the team I think they’re all really strong players. I feel like the entry we had against some of the other teams we were playing is that we’re really strong individuals and really good aimers, so we usually take the duels and we’re also winning them. But the Dreamchasers lineup has a really high skill so it will definitely be very tough. Also they’re playing like a mix, so it will basically be mix versus mix, because we haven’t played for more than 14 days, so it’s gonna be interesting.
