Viewer's guide: iBUYPOWER Masters 2017

Eight teams are participating in the $100,000 event taking place over two days this weekend, at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, California.
It is the third year in a row that the event is taking place, and many of the teams will be using it as a warm-up for IEM Oakland which takes place the following weekend.

Format and results

The teams have been split into two groups as follows:

Group A
Cloud9
Renegades
Luminosity Gaming
NRG Esports

Group B
Team Liquid
Optic Gaming
Counter Logic Gaming
Misfits

The games in the group stage will be in a Best-of-1 GSL format.
The schedule for the event sees Renegades facing Luminosity in the first match up to get us underway. All times are in CET.

Prize pool and distribution

There is a total prize pool of $100,000 up for grabs at this event, with the following breakdown:

1. Cloud9 — $50,000
2. Renegades — $25,000
3-4. Team Liquid — $8,750
3-4. Optic Gaming — $8,750
5-6. NRG Esports — $2,500
5-6. Misfits — $2,500
7-8. Counter Logic Gaming — $1,250
7-8. Luminosity Gaming — $1,250

Broadcasting team

The iBuypower Masters will see seven members of talent who will be bringing the action to you, including James "hazed" Cobb and Joshua "steel" Nissan.
