Viewer's Guide: Blast Pro Series

1
Six of the world's best Counter-Strike:Global Offensive teams descend on Copenhagen, Denmark this weekend for Blast Pro Series, battling it out for their share of $250,000!
The event, hosted by RFRSH Entertainment, is taking place at the Royal Arena. It is unique due to its system allowing 3 games to take place simultaneously.

Participating teams

This is the first LAN event since Ninjas in Pyjamas took the victory at IEM Oakland, where they defeated SK Gaming and then Faze Clan in the Grand Final. This will provide a test, was that performance a one off, or have they found the right formula?

Astralis will be attending the event with Dennis "dennis" Edman as a stand-in for the sick Nicolai "device" Reedtz, which are big shoes to fill for the Swede. Edman is however in the shop window, as he was recently benched from his team, so will be looking for a big performance to advertise his skills.

Schedule and structure

The tournament starts off with a best-of-one, round-robin group stage in which the two teams who come out on top will face each other a best-of-three Grand Final. The third placed team will take part in the Blast Series Stand Off, which is a showmatch in which they choose their opponents from the 3 remaining teams and then partake in a series of 1 vs 1 rounds on a specially designed map.
