Viewer's guide: DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018

It is finally time for another top tier event, with DreamHack Masters descending on Marseille in the South of France. With all ten of the world's best teams in attendance it is sure to be a fantastic event.
This is the first DreamHack Masters tournament to be held in the city of Marseille and carries a $250,000 prize-pool on offer to spread among the attending teams.

Format and schedule

The tournament starts off with four GSL style groups, each made up of four teams. Both the opening and the elimination games will be best-of-one in format, with the winners' match and the decider match both being best-of-three.

The best two teams in each group will play during the weekend in the playoffs, with the quarter-finals taking place on the Saturday, and Sunday would see both the semi-finals and the grand final itself. With all playoff games being best-of-three maps.

Prize pool and distribution

The $250,000 prize-pool available in Marseille is the same as was on offer at DreamHack Masters Malmö.
