Astralis in semifinals over CLG

1
In the SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals last quarterfinal, Astralis defeated CLG 2-0 (16-11 on Cache and 16-13 on Inferno) to move onto the semifinals.
The final game of the day started on CLG's map pick, Cache. The North American team and its new addition from Australia - Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland - started out strong with six consecutive round wins. Astralis called a tactical pause, which they turned into seven rounds in a row. CLG then got their breath back and won two rounds, but that was not enough against the Danes, who went on to close the map out 16-11.

Inferno began with a similar scenario, as CLG took the pistol rounds as Ts and the following two anti-ecos. Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth got a quad-kill in the first gun-round, after which the two teams started exchanging rounds. The first half ended in a close 8-7 in favor of the North Americans. The second pistol round proved to be none-the-luckier for Astralis, and helped CLG get ahead to 11-7. Once again, a quad-kill from Astralis in the first gun-round, this time, however, by the team's in-game leader, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander. Rossander's men eventually reached 14, CLG finally got a round of their own, but Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, the top gun on the scoreboard, and his star chasers defeated CLG 16-13 to secure their semi-final spot.
