HeatoN sells off NiP shares — young investor enters

NiP Gaming has picked up a new investor, Felix Granander. In connection with the news, Breakit reported that Emil "HeatoN" Christensen has chosen to unload a part of the company.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have received a new investor while Emil "HeatoN" Christensen sold a part of his holding in the company, Breakit reports. NiP's new investor is a 20-year-old unknown in the esports field, Felix Granander, who alone enters the popular organization with a double-digit million amount.

The young millionaire is the son of none other than Jan Stenbeck, founder of the holding company Kinnevik. Stenbeck is best known for building brands like TV3, Metro, and Comviq.

According to the organization's CEO, Hicham Chahine, Granander has a great interest in esports and contacted NiP via Christensen's agency, Orlando John. His investment, for which he got a 15% stake in the company, makes him the fourth largest shareholder of the organization.

The largest share is owned by Digilife, closely followed by Norwegian venture capital company Nyx Ventures. The third largest share is owned by Christensen, despite having sold a part of his holding in connection with the new capital round.

According to Chahine, Christensen has decided to sell a portion of his stake in order to finance his wedding and a new house.

According to Chahine, the investment will increase NiP:s value.

Yesterday the first qualifier for Yalla! Cup was played. Eight out of 84 teams therefore qualified for the first week finals. You can already register for the next qualifier on thursday.

The first qualifying round of Yalla! Cup took place yesterday. A total of 84 teams participated in the first qualifier for a chance to compete in the first week final. Only eight of these teams managed to qualify. Among these teams we saw lotb and lolboll who mananged to knock out ut z_z, with players such as Joachim "darti" Fornstedt och Simon "downie" Storm.

The registration for Philips OneBlade Cup has opened. You and your Nordic PUBG-team have the opportunity to fight for the total prize pool of 50 000 SEK as well as some products from Philips.

Philips OneBlade Cup is back once again with the first qualifiers in early January. Starting the 8th of January, there will be two qualifiers every week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The best eight teams from every qualifier qualifies to a weekly final that is played the same week on Saturdays. The winner of every weekly final will earn a spot in the playoffs, on the 10th of March, where they will battle it out against the top eight teams from Fragleague. The total prize pool consists of 50 000 SEK and some products from Philips. So gather your squad and gear up, it's time to show the world which Nordic country that has the best PUBG-team.
