Rambolina: "If we had more time together we could have shown more than we did"

1
Copenhagen Games 2018 was followed by a number of changes in the female scene. LGB Esports was one of the teams that decided to make some changes as they released Matilda "Rambolina" Gustavsson. We spoke to the Swedish player about the cause, achievements and the future.
Shortly after the Copenhagen Games 2018 ended LGB Esports Female decided to release Matilda "Rambolina" Gustavsson from the team. When Fragbite contacted Gustavsson she said that the team made the decision based on the fact that she didn't have enough time to play outside of her day job. The Swedish player, however, stated that she left the team on good terms and that she fully understood their decision as they deserve someone that can devote the time to the game and hope that they find someone that suits them. She continues to tell us about how she felt about the team's performance at Copenhagen Games where they went out in the first round of the playoffs.

"Copenhagen Games did not go as we wanted. Too little time to play together as it was just three of us who were playing at WESG in China just a few weeks before and then I and one other were very sick after the trip, which meant we hardly got time at all the week before Copenhagen. We had almost only our individual skills to go on and that was not enough. If we had more time together we could have shown more than we did", Gustavsson explains.

The future of Gustavsson looks uncertain. According to her it's difficult to find a team that accepts that she can't play a certain number of days a week, but that's something she understands and has to accept even though she wants to play. If there's any offers that look interesting, she will once again explain the circumstances of her job to the team so they know that she can't spend the hours that's required for some teams in the scene. Until she gets an offer, she chooses to play with her friends and tries to stream more often.
