Dreamhack Marseille — Day three complete; Four more out as Quarter Finals set

1
The third day of Dreamhack Masters Marseille has come to a close and we now have the Quarter Finals determined as four more teams head home.
The first match saw Faze Clan send home the last remaining French side Envy. After an extremely close Train, 16-14, Faze ran away with the second map Overpass with a 16-3 destruction of the French side. Two diamonds amongst the all gold cast of Faze were Finn "karrigan" Andersen and Nikola "NiKo" Kovač as they both finished +12 with 105.6 and 103.2 ADR respectively on Overpass.

Next up one of the contenders for the best team in the world currently Mousesports sent home one of the previous number ones in the world SK Gaming. Again the score was 2-0 as Mousesports started out incredibly strong on their Terrorist side of Cache with a 13-2 lead before SK Gaming started to mount a comeback on theirs. It was ultimately too much to manage however as the first map ended 16-10. The second was a repeat of the first half scoreline, this time to Mousesports' Counter Terrorist side of Mirage. The second half was less difficult to close out than the first map however as it ended 16-6 and 2-0 for Mousesports. The second map was impressive for both Robin "ropz" Kool and Chris "chrisJ" de Jong as they ended +18 and +14 respectively, both over 100 ADR.

Keeping the trend of 2-0's going Fnatic sent home Renegades. A close Mirage unsurprisingly had Freddy "KRiMZ" Johansson as the best player on the server as the Swedes took it 16-13, Johansson repeated the feat on Cobblestone as he ended +12 in his team's 16-8 victory.

Finally a series that went the distance as Gambit Esports took down Team Liquid 2-1. The North American side managed a 12-16 victory to open the series on Overpass with newest addition Epitácio "TACO" de Melo topping the scoreboard with young star Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken close behind. It was the turn of Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev on Mirage however as his team levelled it up 16-8. He appeared to do direct battle with the aforementioned Van Dulken on the incredibly close 16-14 victory on Train however as both players ended on 30 kills but it was Gambit who came out on top.
