Secret removes MiSeRy, w33 from roster - Arteezy and UNiVeRsE added as replacements

1
In one of the most prolific roster moves in recent years, TI5 winners Evil Geniuses will be continuing without Artour "Arteezy" Babaev and Saahil "UNiVeRsE" Arora as they move to Team Secret.
Update: Team Secret's director Kemal Sadikoglu has confirmed that UNiVeRsE and Arteezy will be joining Secret.

According to several sources, Evil Geniuses will be seeing two of their biggest assets leave the team, as Artour “Arteezy” Babaev and Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora leave to join Team Secret. The move comes just after a disappointing second place finish at the DotaPit Season 4 LAN finals, where the North American team lost in a dramatic upset to South Korean underdogs MVP.Phoenix in a 0-3 sweep.

Secret members Omar "w33" Aliwi and Rasmus "MiSeRy" Filipsen revealed earlier in the evening on Twitter that they were no longer part of the major-winning organization. Like EG, this move was preceded by a shocking last-place finish at the aforementioned DotaPit Season 4 finals, but it is unknown if this was one of the major factors behind their release.

The most striking move of this shuffle comes in the shape of Babaev returning to Secret, whom he played with for the majority of 2015 to massive success. With all this said, Babaev departed from the team in dramatic fashion following the conclusion of TI5, where Secret under performed heavily and went out in 8th place after an upset loss to Virtus.pro.

This move also ends UNiVeRsE’s near three-year stay at the EG organization. UNiVeRsE has long been considered one of the best offlaners in the west, and played a major part in EG's success. As of now there are unverified rumors surrounding the remainder of the EG line-up. Fragbite has, however, not received any solid evidence behind the claims in question.

The story will be updated following any further developments.
