Following a series of narrow victories, HellRaisers successfully secured their spot at DreamHack Open Tours on May 6. On their road through the qualifier, the Eastern European squad opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory against Rogue Academy. The second round saw HellRaisers pitted against their Eastern European rivals FlipSid3, and ended the series with yet another narrow 2-1 victory.
In the final match of the qualifier, HellRaisers were pitted against the Danish Tricked Esports roster, which features names such as Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, Asger "AcilioN" Larsen, and Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen.
The Eastern European squad took the first half of opening map Nuke with ease and quickly racked up an eleven-round lead. Tricked answered back in the second half, however, and slowly but surely amassed an impressive amount of rounds. In the end, however, HellRaisers narrowly avoided overtime, and ended Nuke with a 16-13 victory.
What ended up being the final map of the qualifier was not as close of an affair as Nuke. Instead, following an 8-7 first half on Mirage, HellRaisers quickly began to extend their lead against the Danes, finishing the map, and the qualifier, off by a solid 16-9 scoreline.
