There was only one match to take place today in Boston and that was the best of three Grand Final between Faze and Cloud9.
The first map of the series was to be Mirage, one that both Cloud9 and Faze Clan enjoy success on. Starting on the Terrorist side Cloud9 take the pistol round with a quick execute onto the B bomb site, the expected following two rounds also end in their favour giving them a 3-0 start. With weapons acquired for both sides Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham almost pulls out the clutch but Finn "karrigan" Andersen saves the day for Faze. Cloud9 take it right back however and push on to 8 before the Counter Terrorists pick up their second and climb to 5 themselves. Eventually the half ends 9-6 in favour of the American side.

The last match of the day and the second of two Semi-Finals put the hometown heroes Cloud9 up against SK Gaming for the last spot in the Eleague Boston Major Grand Final.
The first map was Mirage, picked by Cloud9 as they begin in fiery fashion taking 6 rounds from SK Gaming before the Brazilians bounce back. Not much bouncing back was done in the first half however as SK Gaming looked completely out of it, losing a huge 13-2 first half. They would have required a monster Terrorist half to bring it back but it was too much to ask with the pistol round going the way of Cloud9. Despite winning the following force, SK Gaming left it too late and the American team eventually took the first map 16-3.

The fourth and final Eleague Boston Major Quarter-Final took place today between Fnatic and SK Gaming, two titans of the Counter-Strike scene.
The first map of the series was chosen by Fnatic , seeing the fighting start on Inferno. It was a scrappy battle to begin, with Fnatic getting the pistol round but dropping the second round to SK Gaming. However, in the following round an ace from the man on fire Freddy "KRiMZ" Johansson swung the momentum back in his team's direction. They kept the Terrorist momentum for much of the half, finishing 9-6 in their favour moving onto the supposedly easier Counter-Terrorist side. Some important plays from the likes of Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson with a deagle kept the Swedes pushing on.

The third and final Quarter-Final for the day was to be the Americans of Cloud9 versus G2.
The first map was Cloud9's pick of Mirage, and as such they started out on the Terrorist side. The pistol round went the way of the French side, but the American (desert) eagles answer back and the match balanced out once more at 1-1. After a slightly stressful timeout, the game was restarted and Cloud9 go on to take two more rounds. Eventually the first half came to an extremely close 8-7 half in favour of the American side. The second half however started out with a six rounds straight for the Cloud9 side and things were looking frightening for the Frenchmen. G2 only picked up one more round before they found themselves facing match point and that is where the map ended, 16-8 for the Cloud9 side.

The very first playoff match of the day was to be a Quarter-Final between Mousesports and Faze. A rematch of the ECS Season 4 Finals Grand Final.
The map vetoes had Mousesports removing Overpass whilst Faze Clan removed Cobblestone. Mousesports went for a surprise pick of Nuke whilst Faze picked Cache, eventually Mirage was removed by Faze and Inferno by Mousesports, leaving Train as the deciding third map.
